“Books are masters who instruct us without rod or ferule, without angry words, without clothes or money. If you come to them they are not asleep; if you ask and inquire of them they do not withdraw themselves; they do not chide if you make mistakes; they do not laugh at you if you are ignorant. O books! who alone are liberal and free, who give to all who ask of you and enfranchise all who serve you faithfully!”

Richard of Bury, The Love of Books (1345)

We have catalogued all the books (PDF) on the bookshelf. If you would like to borrow any of these books, please contact Jim Bugslag or Dave Cassels. For the duration of the lockdown, we will deliver it to your door and collect it from you when you are finished with it. If there is any other book you would like to read, on any subject, just let us know, and we will ask around to see if it is available. If we can find someone willing to lend it, we will bring it to you, collect it when you are done, and return it to the owner.
