Thursday Evening Study Group
Our Thursday evening sessions have been going on since 2007. These sessions explore topics arising from the teachings of the Buddha, as well as a range of studies that include community development, neuroscience, and other speculative topics related to insight into dissatisfaction and struggle.

Thursday Morning Seminar: Birth, Sickness, Old Age and Dying
Group study and presentation on themes related to birth, sickness, aging and dying.
Through the winter of 2025-26 we are studying a chapter a week of Mingyur Rinpoche’s book In Love With the World.

Saturday Morning Qi Gong and Meditation
Intro to Qi Gong: 9:30am Saturdays

Course: Intro to Meditation
Two to three times per year we hold an eight-week course to introduce simple secular meditation practices to people new to meditation.
Starting January 27, 2026 we will have a ten-week Intro led by Jarett Myskiw. All welcome (including late starters).
Retreats
We occasionally offer in-person day retreats at our centre in Winnipeg. We occasionally also offer multi-day residential retreats at rented retreat spaces in Manitoba. Retreats will be announced here or, if you are on the mailing list, will be detailed there.
